Healthcare Bridge from Georgia to Turkey: Parliamentary Member Jemal Putkaradze Visits Medical Park and Liv Hospital

Medical Park and Liv Hospital, continuing to promote Turkey’s rising power in health tourism to the world, keep welcoming international visitors. In this context, Jemal Putkaradze, Parliamentary Member of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara in Georgia and Chairman of the Health and Social Affairs Committee, visited Medical Park and Liv Hospital hospitals in Istanbul through the organization of MPGCARE Tourism Ltd.

During the visit, Putkaradze examined Turkey’s healthcare system, hospital infrastructure, treatment services, and developments in the field of health tourism. He praised the level reached by the Turkish healthcare system and received detailed information, especially on the patient-oriented service model, advanced technological infrastructure, and multidisciplinary medical staff structure.

Bilateral Health Cooperation and Protocols

The visit was not limited to an observation tour. Detailed discussions were held to enhance mutual cooperation in health tourism between Turkey and Georgia. Within this framework, cooperation protocols were signed to facilitate patient transfers and ensure effective management of treatment processes.

“Turkey is a Model Country with Health Reforms”

Jemal Putkaradze stated during his remarks: “Turkey inspires us with its health reforms and patient-centered service approach. As Georgia, we want to benefit from Turkey’s experience in advancing our healthcare system. Particularly in terms of public-private partnerships and digital health practices, Turkey sets an important example.”

“We Will Continue to Prefer Turkey”

Highlighting the increasing number of patients coming from Georgia to Turkey for treatment, Putkaradze emphasized that this preference will continue to grow thanks to cultural closeness and geographical advantages. He also expressed satisfaction with the support provided by MPGCARE’s Georgian offices in patient guidance, coordination, and organization.

“Health Tourism Gained a New Vision”

Meri Istiroti, Marketing Group Coordinator of MLP Care, underlined Turkey’s global position in health tourism, stating: “At Medical Park and Liv Hospital, we provide services with an approach that prioritizes not only treatment but also patient experience. Turkey is not only a country offering a price advantage in medical tourism but also an example to the world with its quality, accessibility, and patient satisfaction. Every year, we serve between 80,000 and 100,000 international patients.”

At the end of the visit, Jemal Putkaradze also visited a Georgian patient receiving treatment in Turkey and was informed about the patient’s health condition. The patient’s satisfaction with the treatment process once again demonstrated the trust in Turkey’s healthcare system.
