The seminar on "Breast Cancer Awareness Days in Batumi" was organized by MPGCARE Health Tourism in collaboration with Istanbul Oncology Hospital at the Batumi Wyndham Hotel.

Prof. Dr. Nuri Tasalı, General Director of Istanbul Oncology Hospital, Prof. Dr. Levent Çelik, President of the Breast Cancer Radiology Association, and Dr. Cem Yılmaz, Breast Surgery Specialist from the European School of Breast Surgery, provided enlightening information on early diagnosis and treatment methods in breast cancer.

Prof. Dr. Levent Çelik emphasized that breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women and said: "Although the average age of diagnosis is 60, the disease is increasingly seen in younger women. Early diagnosis means detecting the disease before it spreads to the armpit or body. Therefore, women must undergo mammography and breast ultrasound once a year, as well as annual doctor check-ups. Breast cancer is a disease that can be detected early."

Dr. Cem Yılmaz added: "The incidence of breast cancer has increased recently, attributed to modern and Western lifestyles. Every woman is at risk of developing breast cancer. However, if detected at an early stage before spreading, the survival rate is very high."
